The pandemic has made heroes out of frontliners who have to leave home and risk their lives every day to fight the disease. Nurses, doctors, health care workers, police enforcers, sanitation workers, and other frontliners are being assisted by the government with temporary housing, personal protective equipment, and crowd-sourced food to be able to continue their dangerous work. Some restaurants in Bacolod have also joined the effort in helping frontliners by giving discounts and free deliveries for their food orders.
