If you spend time scrolling on Facebook or watching TV, you may have seen news about an incredibly large structure that looks like a chicken. Surprisingly, this structure is not located outside the country; it's right here in the Philippines!
The impressive structure known as "Manok ni Cano Gwapo" is situated within the Campuestohan Highland Resort in Talisay City, Negros Occidental. It serves as a tribute to the province's multi-billion game fowl industry, with numerous fighting cock farms located near the resort. The structure's design reflects this industry's significance to the local area.
Manok ni Cano Gwapo bags a Guinness World Record title!

On September 19, 2024, the Guinness World Records officially recognized Manok ni Cano Gwapo as the “largest building in the shape of a chicken,” bringing pride to the Negrenses. With its massive size, it has become the newest tourism icon in the province. The building measures 34.9 meters (114 feet 7 inches) in height, 12.1 meters (39 feet 9 inches) in width, and 28.1 meters (92 feet 5 inches) in length.
