Situated on Diversion Road in Cabalangegan, Vigan City, Juan Bean is the pioneering two-dimensional coffee shop in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, setting itself apart from the caffeine scene in town. Launched in April 2023, this unique space boasts an extraordinary interior, hand-painted by the talented University of Northern Philippines alumnus, Mr. Florenz Eduarte.

The front entrance to Juan Bean exudes a comic-book vibe, offering a glimpse of the unique coffee house behind the door. Upon stepping inside, you’ll immediately be immersed in a world of artistic illusion, offering an incredibly lifelike 2D encounter. You’ll find a meticulously drawn balcony view, elegant hanging art frames, a vintage stand clock, and other scrupulously drawn features.

This comic-themed cafe in Vigan has a spacious alfresco dining space outside if you prefer fresh air and sunshine. Like the inside, its exteriors feature hand-painted art. Overall, the clever use of black-and-white furniture and decor, designed to appear hand-drawn, gives you the experience of a two-dimensional world similar to illustrations in a book or vintage cartoons. It's as though you're dining in a real-life blank coloring book.
