The original chori burger at Merly’s BBQ Boracay is a favorite among locals.

The chori burger, or slices of grilled chorizo (pork sausage) in a bun, has become so popular that it inspired many versions. But the mother of all chori burgers can be found at Merly’s BBQ Boracay. The barbeque food stall along White Beach has stood the test of time and continues to outdo competitors. While many have copied their signature offering, most tourists still prefer the simplicity of the original version. Here, you can have a Chori Burger on the go for PhP45.
If you’re a morning person, you can head to Lemoni Café and Restaurant. The place has a refreshing vibe with its plants and light-colored interiors. Diners can choose from more than 15 items on their all-day breakfast menu. One recommended dish is their homemade Pinoy Tapa (dried or cured beef) at PhP380, served with two sunny-side-up eggs, mixed fruits, and atchara (pickled papaya) on the side. They have healthy dishes, too, such as their avocado and smoked salmon on multigrain bread. They also offer vegetarian, lactose-free, and gluten-free food. Lemoni is likewise known for its desserts and cakes.
Another place for great breakfast food is The Sunny Side Cafe. They are famous for dishes like Bacon and Mango Grilled Cheese Sandwich (PhP390), Espresso-Caramel Pancakes (PhP310), and Chorizo Baked Mac (PhP240), which are all perfect for any time of the day. You can pair your meal with their specialty coffee roasted by The EDSA Beverage Group. People who know the place don't just go back for the food, but for the chic restaurant vibe, too.

TThe specialty at Harhar Prawn Mee Soup is, of course, their Singapore-style prawn noodle soup. Traditionally called hae mee (prawn noodles), this dish is originally from Hokkien and was brought over to Singapore by Chinese immigrants. These noodles are served with prawns and meat in a rich broth.
Harhar Prawn Mee Soup also serves kaya (coconut jam) toast in the classic Singaporean style. The toasted bread filled with homemade coconut jam is perfect for merienda (snacks) or breakfast on the go. It is best paired with their Milo Dinosaur, a milkshake made of the famous chocolate drink.
Real Coffee & Tea Cafe is the home of the popular calamansi (calamondin) muffin. It is a favorite take-home gift or pasalubong from Boracay. The place is one of the oldest cafes in Boracay, but they continue to build new connections with their customers. You might even get to talk with the owner when she’s around. Their Calamansi Muffin (PhP60) is best paired with their strong Real Coffee Brew (PhP120).
Unlike other famous coffee chains, they don’t have WiFi and air-conditioning. While eating, you can enjoy a view of the beach and get to feel the sea breeze.
If you need to satisfy your hunger, SteamPunk has specialty burgers heavy on meaty goodness. One of these is their Triple X Burger (PhP620), which is loaded with a 500-gram beef patty. Their famous Burgerella (PhP235) comes with a mozzarella-stuffed patty. Both are best paired with potato wedges. Their transformation of the classic chori burger is also a hit. This restaurant in Boracay serves all their sliders and specialty sandwiches with fresh homemade buns. To quench your thirst, they also offer punk shakes on the menu.

If you prefer something light, you can try going to Nonie’s. This healthy restaurant serves gourmet dishes made with locally sourced products. Nonie’s Bao Slider (PhP250), made with vegan patties, is both healthy and light that you can have two servings in one sitting. Another great snack for any time of the day is their smoothie bowl. The newest addition to their menu is a grilled squid salad made with fresh grilled squid, seasonal greens, torched orange, pickled cucumber, and a special in-house dressing. You can pair your meal with their fresh, cold-pressed drinks (PhP160 to PhP170) or coffee brewed with an Aeropress (PhP145).
