Several exciting events and parties are in store for visitors to Cebu as the year comes to a close.
While end-of-the-year parties are all the rage for December, we searched high and low for events in Cebu this December 2019 you may be interested in attending. And find these events we did. Three K-pop events are the highlights for the month as K-pop fans will come together to celebrate their love for their K-idols. Moreover, a viewing party and an RPG tournament will keep visitors busy while they are in Cebu. Visitors can also end the year with a bang at a poolside countdown party.

1. Jin Day
When: December 7, 2019
Where to buy: D’ Family Park, Gov. M. Cuenco Avenue, Talamban, Cebu
Ticket Price: PhP120
Three days after his birthday, fans can express their devotion to BTS member Kim Seok-jin at Jin Day.

Fans of BTS member Kim Seok-jin can celebrate their love for their favorite South Korean singer and songwriter at the Jin Day event on December 7. Food and fun activities will be waiting for the fans who will get the chance to interact with other fans of the K-pop star. Moreover, they can also pay it forward since part of the registration fee will go to a feeding program for street children on Christmas day. Additionally, fans will also receive two pictures, a banner, and two stickers during the event.
Tip: While organizers have backup plans for outdoor events, you should also come prepared by bringing an umbrella in case it rains.
How to get to D’ Family Park: From Ayala Center Cebu, get on a jeepney headed for Talamban. Tell the driver to let you off at D’ Family Park in Talamban.
2. Breakfast with Miss Universe 2019
When: December 9, 2019

On December 9, the new Miss Universe will be crowned. And if you are in Cebu on that day, fret not since you can still watch it at the Breakfast with Miss Universe 2019 viewing party at Marco Polo Plaza Hotel. Aside from watching our very own Miss Universe Philippines Gazini Ganados compete against the best beauties in the world, guests can also have a hearty buffet breakfast during the event.
Tip: Attending early morning events means going to bed early the night before. This will allow you to have enough rest and wake up early to prepare for the event.
How to get to Marco Polo Plaza Hotel: From Ayala Center Cebu, get on a jeepney headed for JY Square Discovery Mall in Lahug. From JY Square Discovery Mall, you can get on a jeepney headed for Marco Polo Plaza Hotel.
3. #WithSeventeen
When: December 14, 2019

On December 14, Cebuano fans of Seventeen will interact with each other at the #WithSeventeen cup sleeve event.

The second Saturday of December will see fans of K-pop band Seventeen coming together for the #WithSeventeen event. This event, hosted by Seventeen Days, is aimed at gathering fans of the popular South Korean boy band. Aside from interacting with fellow Carats, the name of the fans of Seventeen, they can look forward to freebies, prizes, and games at the event. And while fans are asked to reserve a slot for the mini-gathering, walk-ins are also welcome.
Tip: Since events requiring a reservation normally offer limited slots for guests, it is advisable to sign up early to ensure you can join the event.
How to get to IG Café: From Ayala Center Cebu, ride a jeepney headed for Ramos Street. Tell the driver to let you off at the City Suites-Ramos Tower along Ramos Street. IG Café is located along the road on the right side of City Suites-Ramos Tower.
4. Cebu Cover Gayo Awards
When: December 15, 2019

K-pop fans can watch their favorite K-pop cover artists perform on stage at the Cebu Cover Gayo Awards.

Korean pop fans will get the chance to listen to their favorite K-pop cover groups in the Visayas during the Cebu Cover Gayo Awards. This annual event will see the participation of popular cover soloists and groups in the Visayas region. Even as the cover artists will perform their favorite K-pop songs, they will also get the chance to receive awards for their performances. The major awards up for grabs are Coverist of the Year, Best Male Cover Group, and Best Female Cover Group, among others. K-pop fans can also participate by choosing their favorite cover artist in the People’s Choice Award.
Tip: Since some vents require formal attire while others allow casual outfits, it is important to know the dress code ahead of time. This will allow you to dress accordingly.
5. RECCon 2019
When: December 21, 2019
Where to buy: Ayala Malls Central Bloc, Padriga Street, Cebu IT Park, Cebu City
Ticket Price: free
Guests can get the chance to join a role-playing quest at the 1st Multi-Table Dungeons & Dragons during RECCon 2019.

Role-playing game enthusiasts can look forward to an early Christmas gift this coming December. Four days before the most wonderful day of the year, Reccon and RPG Cebu will host RECCon 2019. Rangers, wizards, and fighters will gather at the Ayala Malls Central Bloc during the 1st Multi-Table Dungeons & Dragons event. Eight Dungeon Masters on eight tables will direct the adventures with the fifth module of the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus. Designed by Alan Patrick and Rich Lescouflair, players will get the chance to take part in a quest pitting good against evil. Guests can either bring their own character or create one at the Character Creation Table at the event.
Tip: Attending role-playing game events will be much more enjoyable if you know how the game is played. So, research about the game and find out as much as you can or you can go with a friend who has experience in playing these games.
How to get to Ayala Malls Central Bloc: From Ayala Center Cebu, get on a jeepney going to Cebu IT Park. Tell the driver to let you off at the Cebu IT Park. You can walk towards Ayala Malls Central Bloc, which is two blocks away from the jeepney stop.
6. Neon Night 2.0
When: December 31, 2019
Where to buy: Quest Hotel and Conference Center-Cebu, Archbishop Reyes Avenue, Cebu City
Ticket Price: PhP2,850 for the regular New Year’s Eve Dinner Buffet and Party ticket, PhP2,650 for the early bird New Year’s Eve Dinner Buffet and Party ticket, PhP1,250 regular party only ticket, PhP1,100 for the early bird party-only ticket.
Guests can party and end the year with a bang at the Neon Night 2.0.

If you have nowhere to go during New Year’s Eve, you may want to check out Neon Night 2.0 at Quest Hotel and Conference Center-Cebu. A foam party at the poolside with free-flowing drinks and canapés is in store for guests as they wait for the clock to strike 12. Additionally, they will also be treated to a fireworks show and musical performances. Moreover, prizes from Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan, Quest Plus Conference Center, and Clark, Quest Hotel will be given to lucky guests at the raffle of the event.
