In the Philippines, they say that there are only two types of weather: hot and hotter. Well, the heat is about to turn up even higher as summer is upon us! Some people might be planning to spend their sunny days at the beach, while others just might want to get away from the sweat and humidity that comes with summer. Either way, there are great deals and hot buys this March on great items that will surely help you enjoy the summer.

1. Piso Fare/Travel tickets on sale

If your feet are itching for some adventure, summer is the perfect time to go enjoy new sights and cultures. Piso fare, or discounted flight tickets are up for grabs now so you better move fast. Cebu Pacific Airlines is selling both domestic and international promo tickets which are valid for the months of June to December 2016 (Sale period was supposed to end yesterday, Feb. 29, but has been extended to March 3 until seats last. Travel period is from March 15 to June 30, 2016). While you’re at it, avail of the “getgo card” so you can earn reward points. This way you can grab the next hot deals on promotions and seat sales.

Another cure for your itchy feet is to use 2Go Travel Super Ferry, which is one of the largest land/sea travel providers in the Philippines. Online booking is available for March to June 2016 and is now available for most routes. Since the promos are limited, it would be good to remember that the “early bird gets to book the early boat.”

2. Beauty Products (i.e., sunscreen, moisturizing creams, sunblock)

While you’re out gallivanting at the beach, surfing, swimming, or just soaking up the sun rays, make sure your beautiful skin is protected. No one wants to be sunburnt or look like a panda because you slept in the sun while wearing shades. It’s been said that too much of anything is bad, and the same thing goes for sunshine. Excessive time spent in the sun can damage your skin, cause unpleasant sun spots, wrinkles or sometimes even skin cancer. The best way to combat these is to wear sunblock that is at least SPF 15, sunglasses, and a hat. Most department stores these days gear their marketing towards the current season, so there are sure sales at your nearest store that you can avail of.

3. Gadgets

Keeping along with the theme of your fabulous summer vacation, make sure to buy a nice camera to document your precious moments spent with family and friends. Get a GoPro if you’re a hardcore adventurer or even better: a drone to get those cool aerial shots. Picking a camera with waterproof and shockproof features will ensure a fun time without having to worry about your precious gizmo.

For gadget geeks out there, you would be happy to learn iPhone 5se is going on sale as early as March 18 in most gadget stores. Its features include an upgraded camera and an Apple Pay Pay NFC chip support, and it comes in shades of rose gold, gold, silver, and space grey. Get ready to break your piggy banks as this, for sure, won’t come cheap.
