WEATHER

A temperature range of 27°C to 36°C with very few clouds in the sky gives a mostly sunny and very warm weather this week. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warns that hotter days can be expected for the rest of the month due to the El Niño phenomenon.

The annual World Street Food Congress is here in the Philippines this week. Featured are the top 24 street food masters from over 10 countries around the world. The event promises different cultures to be learned even from a single plate, free cooking demos, live music, and the best street food stalls at the five-day street food event called Jamboree.

BDJ Women’s Summit: Women Helping Women

The popular notebook planner in the Philippines, Belle de Jour, will be celebrating its 10th year with a Women’s Summit. Women of different statuses will be converging to talk about issues that each woman faces or has faced at some point in their lives. Conferences and series of talks by some of the most distinguished women in the country await attendees.

The Wedding and Debut Expo is one of the biggest wedding and debut events in the Philippines. Suppliers and coordinators specializing in the said celebrations will showcase a range of professional services such as catering, make-up, gowns, and photo coverage!

Aliwan Fiesta: All in One Philippine Festival

The annual Aliwan Fiesta is held every summer to celebrate the diverse culture in the Philippines. Filipinos around the country as well as foreign tourists gather in Pasay City to experience the most colorful festivals of the country all in one place.

Spectators get to see invited contingents from various regions compete in three categories—the float parade competition, beauty pageant, and street dancing.

Ozine Fest: J-Pop Culture Festival

The annual Ozine Fest, one of the most-awaited Japanese pop culture events among anime lovers and cosplayers, is happening this week. Guests this year include some of the most popular cosplayers around the world like Vietnamese cosplayer, Miu, and Taiwanese cosplayer, Ely. A cosplay contest and a concert by the Japanese band, Flow, are in the program. Flow is behind some of the greatest songs from the beloved animes like Naruto, Eureka Seven, Code Geass, and Rurouni Kenshin.
