With many events and parties to attend to this season, it’s normal to want to look your best from head to toe. Want to spice up your usual getup? We listed down new styles following the current fashion trends from famous American clothing brands that you can try to step up your OOTDs.
1. Velvet Jumpsuit
One of Forever 21’s velvet jumpsuit, which comes with a belt.
This style is a combination of two of the many 90s trends that are making a huge comeback this year—velvet and jumpsuit. The velvet texture adds a playful flair and expensive look to the usual monochromatic jumpsuit. As jumpsuits can be boxy, this piece has a sewed-in velvet belt to add more shape to your body, the belt will accentuate and flatter your waist as it will make you look slimmer and highlight your curves.
The featured style above features a palazzo cut, but Forever 21 also has a wide range of velvet jumpsuits in different silhouettes, both in loose and skin-tight fit.
2. Embellished Pants
Pants are one of the most important and versatile wardrobe essentials; they can be both casual and stylish depending on how you match it with your top.
Usually, pants just act as the supporting item for the top, but this pair with beaded appliques from H&M can be the statement piece with its quirky yet chic details.
This pair of pants is high waist and is designed with a straight silhouette for the body. Each bead is strategically placed all over the pants to avoid going overboard. Want to be unique? Don’t worry! The design of the bead appliques also vary in each pair.

3. Ombre Sweater
Ombre outfits are better styled simple because the colors are already eye-catching.
With the cold weather already approaching, sweaters are staples for warming up. Plus, they make for a chic and fashionable cuddle weather OOTD. These ombre tops from American Eagle Outfitters can add color to your sweater collection as it comes in five hues: red, purple, black, pink, and blue. The material, which features a mixed stitch design, is also lighter than the usual heavy sweaters.
One of the key tips in wearing ombres is to contrast the colors. An all-dark outfit can make the lightest color pop. Wearing a monochromatic ensemble to go with an ombre piece is also fashionable.

Showing off a little bit of skin from outfits can be tricky; you have to strike a balance in the amount of skin you’re willing to show. Having too few cut-outs in your outfit might seem plain, while having too many is too risqué. It is possible to achieve sexiness without showing too much with just the right and flattering cuts.
American Eagle Outfitter’s Soft & Sexy side bar t-shirt is designed to show just the right amount of skin at the side. It also goes well with high-waist pants or bottoms. The t-shirt comes in blue, olive, plum, true black, and gray.
5. Polo shirt crop tops

The polo crop top can be paired a high-waist mom jeans.
Brands like Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and Urban Outfitters fused the formal and boxy silhouette of the classic polo tops to the modern free and flowy street style crop tops. The look is casual and fun as well as stylish and modern. Urban Outfitter’s collection of cropped polo tops differ from the others in that that the items are handcrafted and recycled from vintage polo shirts. Moreover, each polo shirt also varies in design.
If you’re not so confident about exposing your belly, you can pair the top with high-waist denim pants to cover up any unflattering areas.
6. Asymmetrical Pullovers

The pullover also has quilting details and side-entry pockets.
This pullover protects its wearer from cold weather, but it might also serve as the main piece of an outfit with its unique style. The neckline features a snap-up detail and asymmetrical design, which is different from the usual pullovers that have buttons at the middle instead of the sides. There are four colors to choose from: white, black, light gray, and navy blue.
This piece can also be used in an outfit for casual wear along with jogging pant or sweatpants and sneakers.
7. Loopy-knit Cardigan
The cardigan only comes in the heather grey color.
Usually, cardigans give off a formal feel to an outfit, but this cardigan from GAP is far from formal with its loopy fringe design. It also has a relaxed and easy fit that won’t constrain movement, and the ribbed cuffs and neckline balance the fringe pattern of the whole outfit.
The cardigan is versatile, which means that it can be worn to work or to any weekend parties and events.
