Metro Manila Film Festival 2023

Catch these exciting locally-made films at this year’s MMFF.

Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 is here, and from eight entries every year, its lineup expands this year with ten official entries.

Celebrate the joy of Christmas with this expanded and diverse range of films featuring heartwarming stories and thrilling adventures from renowned Filipino directors and actors such as Christopher de Leon, Vilma Santos, Piolo Pascual, Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, and more.

The most awaited Philippine film festival, which annually showcases eight film entries, has unveiled six more films following the first four official entries announced last July. This year’s lineup expanded to 10 after the selection committee screened a record high of 30 finished film submissions.

Metro Manila Film Festival 2023’s official entries are as follows:

• When I Met You in Tokyo, starring Christopher de Leon and Vilma Santos;
• Becky and Badette starring Eugene Domingo and Pokwang;
• Mallari starring Piolo Pascual and Janella Salvador;
• Firefly starring Alessandra de Rossi, Cherry Pie Picache, and Euwenn Mikaell;
• Broken Hearts Trip starring Christian Bables, Andoy Ranay, and more;
• Gomburza starring Enchong Dee, Dante Rivero, Piolo Pascual, and Cedrick Juan;
• Rewind starring celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera;
• Family of Two, starring Sharon Cuneta and Alden Richards;
• (K)ampon starring Beauty Gonzales and Derek Ramsay; and
• Penduko starring Cristine Reyes and Matteo Guidicelli.

This Christmas film festival will run across all Philippine cinemas from December 25 to January 7, 2024.

Metro Manila Film Festival 2023’s Parade of Stars is scheduled for December 17, which will kick off in Navotas and end in Valenzuela, while Gabi ng Parangal will be on December 27.

Ticket outlets and prices are yet to be announced.
